58 drivers are in the 200mph qualifying club. Bill Elliot more than once (5 times). Thank God for google ;-)

1. **Jeff Gordon** -starting from the pole... got pick him
2. Kurt Busch
3. Tony Stewar
4. JPM
5. Dale Jr. (yeah, yeah... I'm a junior fan, but he's also a better road racer then he gets credit for. If luck stays on his side, will have a good weekend)
As for the 200+... I'd have to go will Bill Elliott doing the most, just because he holds the Daytona and 'Dega records, and after he set them, they started with the plates.
I don't know how many have broke the 200 in qualifying, but I'll guess about 20.

I think NASCAR decided to limit the speed of the cars and staarted putting engine: size restrictions, restrictor plates etc when they felt the tires and aerodynamics limits had been reached.
Due to the manufacturers R&D body style (aero ) limitations and tire design/compound limitations, There probably wont be anyone go over the record for some time either.
Oh yea, NASCARdomis predicts this order for the championship:
1) Tony Stewart #20
2) Jeff Gordon #24
3)Matt Kenseth #17
4) Edwards #99
5) Jr. #8
Superstar= (didnt run a full schedule #1 Mark Martin #01)

Robby Gordon (Superstar)
Tony Stewart
Jeff Gordon
Kevin Harvick
Juan Pablo Montoya
Bill Elliott holds the qualifying record at Daytona (210.364) and Talladega (212.809) but I am not sure who else has qualified over 200 mph. I guess I'll go with Awesome Bill for most. I know Rusty went really fast testing once and I think Geoff Bodine has turned it up before. I will leave it at that and let somebody else have a go at it this time.

Bill Elliott and Buddy Baker are two, Elliott has a 200+ MPH at Daytona and Baker has it at Talladega. I think there are others, but I'm not sure who.
