That's not a workable price, your going to need to plan for more then 2,500/month

Find a pension house, or work out a deal with a family to let you live in as a part time housekeeper/babysitter.
Be careful of pension houses that arethat cheap, many nasty and bad people hang out at some of them!

In Baguio you get those prices, I went to Cebu and place is so crowded.

go to basak near unfinished building and find estella. room is safe and not expensive.
