Who is your favorite character and why?

My favorite male character is Gandalf- it was SO awesome when he fought the Balrog!!! My favorite female character is Eowyn because she killed the Witch King of Angmar- "I am no man!"

    Gandalf. Because he encourages the others to act on their beliefs. He leads without being the leader. He shapes the events but allows the other characters to make their own choices.
