Hey Guys
I have just got a regional roll with a new company. The company has a strong insentive program to encourage sales, but figures over the last several months continue to fall. The base salary is also above average. What kind of managment techniques do you believe trully encourage staff to excel and work to there full potential.

Having a manager who is smart enough to run spell check and who knows the difference between there and their would be a start.

People excel in their jobs when they see a purpose. What drives people ... do they believe in the product you are selling, in their future, in job advancement. Maybe create a purpose, such as beating the competition. Post every sales persons progress publicly .. Sales guys love to compete.

You just need to be close friends with all the people you meet and be humble and modest.
