What is your personal feeling and belief toward homosexuality?

Do you believe it is an abomination before the Lord and immoral. I'm curious just what people think about this.

Update:

America has become Rome! I once thought we were in the process of becoming, but now I see that we are already "Rome".

I agree with Eds, This is where Sodom and Gomorrah, got their name from. God distroyed that city due to their immoral acts. Yes ; I to know some, that are homosexual. I am not their judge, but I do not up hold their behaviors. I feel if they respect me then I respect them. As a Christian; I pray for them and that God deals with them and open theirs eyes to His truth and His ways.

I think homosexuality is a variation of human sexuality. To be more precise, I think homosexualtiy/ heterosexuality is a continuum. Some people are decidedly heterosexual, some are decidely homosexual, and others are somewhere in between.

I personally know several people who were married (to a person of the opposite sex), some of whom had children, and who are now living in a homosexual relationship. Clearly, these folks are closer to the middle of the continuum than some others who would never participate in a heterosexual relationship.

These people tried to live the straight lifestyle and eventually realized they were lying to themselves.

There was a time when being left-handed was seen as being related to the Devil. Left handed people were not allowed to BE left handed and were forced to write and eat with their right hands. Eventually the world woke up and realized it was just a variation.

I hope the world will wake up on the homosexuality topic too. I can't imagine anything more demoralizing than having to introduce your life partner, the person you love, as your 'room-mate'. How sad.

Now, do I want to see homosexual sexual activity on the street? No, of course not. But neither to I want to see a heterosexual couple making out in public. Kissing and hugging hello or good-bye, and holding hands is quite enough in public.

Religion is the practice of doing the same thing over and over in familiar patterns. If you are seeking truth for yourself, meditate on that desire 5 minutes before you go to sleep each evening, and upon waking. Do this for a couple of weeks. Your mind has so much that your thoughts will help give you some hints. Start reading and studying the different religions of the world. Meditate on the things that really move you. No one can make your Faith, you are given that in creation. Any religious practice that causes you to put your mind, body, finances, family, relationships into its Kaleidoscope to decide what is the best for you is cult-like. God gave you a brain. Use it. Remember love is one of your greatest assets. Read philosophy, check out what those who have sought truth have found, then...your own salvation - with respect and thankfulness and forgiveness Bless

Well yes, I believe the Bible says that and I have no reason why not to believe it. However, I also am an abomination before the Lord. What I do is an abomination before the Lord. No matter how 'good' I try to be, unless I am in Christ then I am an abomination to the Lord.

So many Christians don't get that. I don't know if it takes a Bisexual Christian to understand it, but I understand it.

I agree all the way with cheezdoodle (or something like that :P )

Love is love! It can come in any form and we need to respect that. It's not like it's hurting anyone else right???

People have been gay for a long time in history...they were just pressured to hide it (did you know Shakespeare was bi??) but shouldn't we be happy that our culture is cleary moving FORWARD because more gay people are coming out?? It shows acceptance and tolerance! YAY!

I feel that homosexuality is wrong, but so are some of the things that I have done that God does not approve of. God gives us a free will, to choose right or wrong and I think that we will all be judged by the choices that we make.

I believe that what the Bible says is true no matter what my personal feelings are. (Or anyone else personal feelings for that matter)

This is what the Bible says:What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. 1Corinthians 6:9-10

That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27 and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error. Romans 1:26-27

Now we know that the Law is fine provided one handles it lawfully 9 in the knowledge of this fact, that law is promulgated, not for a righteous man, but for persons lawless and unruly, ungodly and sinners, lacking loving-kindness, and profane, murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, manslayers, fornicators, men who lie with males, kidnappers, liars, false swearers, and whatever other thing is in opposition to the healthful teaching  according to the glorious good news of the happy God, with which I was entrusted. 1Timothy 1:8-11

So too Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them, after they in the same manner as the foregoing ones had committed fornication excessively and gone out after flesh for unnatural use, are placed before [us] as a [warning] example by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire. Jude 7

Choice they made they lay in it

personally I have no feelings about it, but if you want to ask the Lord go look at the upside down town of people of Thamoud, Go look at the empty towns all over the world, and this last group after Muhammed SAW are allowed to stay because he gave up a prophetic gift for that very request

"Oh Allah, please don't let this family of mine go from this earth till your final day and make them prosper in knowledge inshAllah ya Rub Alameen." This is the man you all want to hate who has taken away a mercy of his and given it all to you to me and everyone even the Atheist yes even them are our family but we are split in 2 those who call and those who have to be called. There is no more prophets Muhammed SAW "THE COMFORTER" he is the one in your books oh people of faith and we are the ones the muslims not Islam the muslims that made error long ago and we are trying hard to correct it inshAllah.. All see King Nexus R.a of the Gospel as our friend and we owe it to them back inshAllah amin! Allah SWT help my cause inshAllah amin.

We are calling for peace but if you must know Allah hates it and he is going to really have some serious order against this desire of the flesh that is of the worst transgression to mankind.

Source(s): Al Quran its says past errors caused this Al Jinn! Al Hadith The Bible - The Gospel According to Yahya A.s. = John The Torah - where ever the real one is it takes about the people of AD the town is still there with the prophet Luke aka Lut A.s. barely escaping go read it! Salam Go see it its still totally up side down, this is one place I agree we need no part of! Salam

I think that homosexuality is a natural variation of human sexuality.

In all sexual matters, regardless of orientation, it matters how we treat others. If one treats another person as nothing but an object for sexual gratification, that’s dehumanizing and it’s wrong whether one is straight or gay. I fear that some condemn gay people as a way of justifying their own behavior, as in whatever a straight person does is ok and whatever a gay person does is wrong. This is what needs to change. We need to view all sexual behavior in the same light and learn to value respect and love over momentary gratification.

This is one reason I support gay marriage. We should be encouraging commitment.

I do believe homosexuality is a lifestyle choice and that, as the Bible says, it is an abomination before the Lord. It is a sin as is murder, stealing, envy, gossip, and not loving God. Those are not my words, those are God's.

I have a very good friend who is lesbian. She was married and has a grown son. She is exceptionally good to me and I often eat out with her, visit her parents with her, and fish with her. I could not ask for a better friend. She knows how I feel about her homosexuality and we do not discuss it. I cannot choose my friends by only those who never sin. I would be alone and lonely. I share my faith with her and she believes in God but she has not yet found the strength to let go of the part of her life that keeps her at a distance from Him.
