Could you enumerate ways/approaches in reading the Bible?

Have a dictionary handy and look up every word you don't know the meaning for and find the best definition for that word in the content being talked about.

I would have someone start in the Book of Revelation. Simply because it is the only book of the Bible to promise a blessing for reading or hearing it. They can really get to learn Revelation at a later time, all the ties to the Old Testament ect...

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Then I would have them go to the Book of John. I have studied this book many times and always find more to learn, (like the 7 "I AM" statements) yet it is an easy book for anyone to understand its meaning. (John 3:16)

But I would also tell people to pray about it and see where God leads you.
