Should the U.S. pay to find housing for migrant workers?

No, the U.S. taxpayers should not be paying for anything if the migrant workers are here illegally.

The invasion by Mexicans and others at our southern border is a threat to our national security and to our sovereignty as a nation. A large number of people from around the world would like to benefit from our way of life, but the glut of poor Mexicans eliminates opportunity for others. In keeping with the American way, we should be offering opportunity for all, not just the 12-14 million Latinos who are flooding the U.S. illegally. All people who come to the U.S. should come with permission.

There is an argument that these invaders are taking jobs no one else wants. People in India are also taking U.S. jobs no one here wants, but they are getting the jobs without invading our land. The housing problem you mention is thus not a problem for the workers in India, but it will always be a problem for poor, uneducated, illegal, Spanish-speaking people who are working for starvation wages to enrich the bank accounts short-sighted American capitalists.

Mexicans now in the U.S. are demanding "rights" (like government housing programs) they are not entitled to. If they were the honest, hardworking people they say they are, they would voluntarily return to Mexico and demand social and economic reforms from their own government.

Everyone seems to be in a giant frenzy about migration right now but I really do not see what the issues are. Migrants are coming over and taking the jobs that noone else wants. I think that the government should help the migrants with housing but also that migrants should have to pay taxes just like everyone else. If they want to live in the US let them, just make sure that you treat them like US citizens. And by this I don't mean just tax them but provide them with health insurance, education, and financial assistance (low-income housing, food-stamps). When they quit being an asset to America by not doing their part of the bargain (paying taxes, community services, etc.) that is when they should be removed from the country.

I am going to assume that you mean migrant workers are the people who work on fields and move on to the next farm/area. The government should not pay for their housing the field owners should. Farmers get large checks from the government and many tax breaks.

The U.S. isn't paying for your housing Pal, I would be and, pray tell, you tell me why you think I should.

Go up to our County assistance office, you people have taken over the place, I can't even get in to talk to a case worker for my medication and, I live here, she's to busy trying to find ways to feed you and your family.

When I was forced to move and find work years ago, we had to live in our car until we could afford rent, many with kids lived in the dessert near us because they were just as bad, now your telling me you think because your a migrant you should get free housing? with my tax money.

The 1st guy is no doubt a college student who doesn't pay taxes. The migrants are 99% illegal. Do you understand how much they drain from the social services in each individual state? So we should just hand them some freebies and a paycheck - who pays for the freebies? You do if you have a job. if you teach a man to fish he can feed himself for a lifetime but if you just keep giving him fish, he is just indebted to the government for survival - oh wait - that's the Democratic party!

I can't afford a house, but my taxes should go for someone else's housing? I think I need to vote no on that one.
