Can a magnet???
Can a magnet make your car alarm go wild? I have a alarm with a speaker in it and put a magnet on it and ever since the alarm is messing up on me by deactveating on me by itself?
I put the magnet on it because I was told it could mess up the alarm and being the owner of a $1k stereo system I wanted to check to see if it was true. And so far it is. The manufacturer said it cant because it has a magnet in it.

It depends on the scematics of the alarm. To be sure check with your dealer or better yet a certified mechanic.

Magnets aren't always friendly to electrical components. Your alarm system's components might have been scrambled or damaged from coming into contact with a magnet.
I'd ask the manufacturer of the alarm system.

Speakers have a magnetic back end to them, so contact with a another magnet could have easily caused some problem for this to happen.

sure it could, electricity itself causes its own magnetic field. why would you put a magnet on it anyway?
