question about ipods?
I recently won a 80gb ipod for free and I got it in the mail a few days ago I'm not sure if I should keep it or sell it. I heard you have to have itunes and pay for each song you put on it, is this true? Or if you have limewire and can download the songs for free can you put them on there like that as easy as a mp3 player?

You can download from Limewire and just put them in. I do that.

iPods suck, they are totally over-rated. Most features that other players have as standard the vaunted iPod needs a peripheral to have. These are features such as a FM radio, voice recording, or an alarm clock. I'd sell the iPod, buy a different player, and still make a profit if it were me. Then there is the whole dependability issue. All you have to do is look around the "Music and Music Players" section around here to see how dependable they AREN'T, so I won't comment anymore on that issue.
As for limewire, DON'T use it. Not only do you have the potential to download viruses but the program itself is full of spyware that will monitor all of your online activity. If you want to download "free" music then bit torrent dumpsites and forums are a much better option.

You download Itunes for free. There is an option of buying songs, but if you have cds, you can download them to Itunes then onto your ipod.

Heck NO, I never paid for anything. I tunes is free you can download it on the internet. Then just add songs to your library and it will upload it automatically whenever you plug it into the computer. If you don't have any songs on your computer arleady copy disks onto your hardrive or download songs on itunes, ares or any file sharing site.

Keep it. I've been saving money for an iPod for months and if I won one I'd keep it.
