That second verse is not talking about bees actually eating fruits. It's directed at humans,stating "eat of the fruits" as a metaphor for "eat what you've been blessed with". It has nothing to do with a bee actually eating fruit.

[16:68-69]

And your Lord inspired the bee: build homes in mountains and trees,

and in (the hives) they build for you.

Then eat from all the fruits, following the design of your Lord, precisely.

From their bellies comes a drink of different colors, wherein

there is healing for the people.

This should be (sufficient) proof for people who reflect.

Bees do not eat fruit. They drink nectar, honey and if the bee is a queen, royal jelly.

In a way, it's kind of refreshing to see someone seeking scientific sources for Koranic content.

It's a mythology book; if you want science, go and pick up up a biology book.

Heck, those crazy Christians think that grass was created before critters (and loads of other funny stuff). You just never know what you're going to find in those mythology books...

It's a misprint. It should be "bears" eat fruit.

does it?? I dont think bees eat fruit; its probably just another error in the Quran. Could you please state which verses?
