common grass spider..... the stripes on the front part give it away.....and it won't hurt you... but it would rather be outside if you can put a glass over it and then cover the opening of the glass with a cardboard and trap it in the glass and then take it outside.....??....

I'm not an entomologist, but I can assure you it is not a Brown Recluse. The mouth parts on most spiders are too small to bite humans. Spiders are good-guys. They eat lots of insects that bother humans and other mammals. As one answerer suggested, chase it into a small container and let it go out side in the yard. It will be happier because there is food and water there.

I had a few of those and they are really quick. Get your running shoes on if you want to catch it lol. I think it has the shape of a common house spider and the legs look the same but what do those black and white markings indicate on its abdomen ?

They have big fangs so watch it doesn't bite you lol.

They look big but they are not really. I remember having put a garden spider beside one before and it pierced its abdomen with its huge fangs. It seemed relatively docile until I did this and it shocked me.

I think its just a house spider but google search common house spiders to compare their appearances so you are sure.

I get these in my house too. Depends on where you live, there's no brown recluses in Calif. I looked it up online. I think it's just a common wolf spider. Here's the link to read about 'em.

I am sure it's just a simple brown house spider, Kill it if you must, but if you can stomach it, put a cup over it and slide a piece of paper under it then throw it outside. If it's gone already then just leave it be, he's not gonna "jump" you while you are sleeping.

Take the photograph on your community county extension workplace or maybe your community pest administration extreminator form company and ask for postive id> in case you have spiders aroudn that are volatile you pick to understand. :) meanwhile a can of spray for killing spiders might are available in accessible!
