For a group that size the easiest and most reasonable would probably be to take a taxi. >Because of the size of your group you will need 2. Depending on traffic the fare should be around $12-$15 - DON'T let the cabbie take the tunnel, this will add $10 to your fare(they know better)

TA - 1-702-668-4000
this is a good # to write down and take with you, if you feel you have been cheated(long hauled) by the cabbie. Call the TA from the cab before you pay.
$3.20 for the first 1/8 mile, .25c for each 1/8 mile thereafter. There is a $22 per hour "waiting" fee, so if you're stuck in traffic the meter is still running. There is also a $1.20 fee for leaving McCarran in a taxi.
There are no free shuttles to Treasure Island from McCarran. This is a list of all the free hotel shuttles in LV

For Deuce/CAT info
Deuce - $2.00 one way, $5 24hr pass
CAT - $1.25 one way, $2.50 24hr hass

The Monorail

A limo to your hotel is actually cheaper than the airport shuttle bus(which wait until they fill their bus to leave the AP then drop off at any number of hotels, if you're last it can be a long ride)
You can rent a limo by the hour, or grab one the same as you would a taxi($4.50 each, to the strip I believe it was for the 4 of us)
We go to LV 2-3 times a year for 2 weeks or more at a time and have for over 20 years. I added all of the public transportation options in LV because at one time or another each has it's advantages.
Estimated cost - for 8
Taxi - $25-$30
CAT/Deuce - $16
Limo - $36
Limo - 1hr rental of a super stretch $76(10 person)
Shuttle - $44
If you have a Q, feel free to e-mail me through YA.

Later: "boo hoo" would be correct, neither the Monorail nor the Strip Trolley run to "McCarran" airport - I'm pretty sure their web site has that info.>I explained that I was adding ALL of the public transportation options around LV.

As there are two of you I would suggest taking a taxi. It will likely be around $20 each way to TI. Many times when I have traveled alone I have taken a shuttle bus, but believe me, for the cost savings they are a hassle; when I go to Vegas in December (a week after you) I will be cabbing it even though I am alone to save time and avoid hassle. Shuttles sometimes take a while to load because they want to pack as many people on the shuttle as possible, and then they stop at every hotel and casino along the way; as you are in the middle of the Strip you should plan on taking a good book if you take the shuttle. The other downside to taking a shuttle is they expect you to board 3 hours in advance of your flight departure. They insist that it is to guarantee you make your flight, but really it is so they can spend an hour driving around picking up other passengers. I have had them detour when we were almost to the airport just to get an extra fare. As for the taxis, they take you where you want to go right away. At 1pm on a Monday there should be minimal traffic which will save you in cost. As long as it isn't peak traffic time you should get to most destinations on the Strip within 15 minutes. Also, don't let the cabbie try to talk you into "shortcuts" that are further in distance but supposedly quicker, there is no real shortcut and if he is a good cabbie he will take the most direct and efficient route without question. Do not consider buses unless you are on a true budget (but then you wouldn't be staying at TI would you?). In Vegas, you get what you pay for, so spend a little more and enjoy your trip!

Look into taking a shuttle. I was just in Vegas 2 weeks ago, went from the airport to the Paris hotel which is just down the street from Treasure Island & it cost $24 for 2 people and we had an insane taxi driver, his driving was scary & he coped attitude when we got to the hotel, not sure why we got the attitude, because we handed him the money & said thank you and didn't talk in the taxi the entire ride. We got the taxi from the airport where you stand in line for taxis.... If I were you I'd look into taking a shuttle.

Call the hotel and ask if they provide a complementary shuttle service. If not, go to the taxistand and ask the Starter for a shuttle. It will be a little cheaper than a taxicab and the vehicles will usually be the larger, full size vans. In any case, taxis wont be very much as the strip is very close to the airport.
Do NOT accept a ride from anyone you meet INSIDE the terminal. These are "bandit" cabs, withour permits, safety inspected cars and the drivers may not even be licensed or insured. Plus, there is no regulatory control over these cars, so you won't have any agency to report any rip off schemes these "bandits" often foist on unsuspecting visitors.

Las Vegas is the absolute most exciting and entertaining city on the planet and with hotelbye you may find out more. Nowhere otherwise in the world you will find a town that's all of the vacation amenities that just a total resort destination can provide: magnificent casino accommodations, fine food, amazing live activity and state-of-the artwork conference and business show facilities. Las Vegas happens to be a spectacular town and anything that you would assume from the world-class town, and more, is right here for your vacation pleasure. One of many areas you have to visit in Las Vegas is the Fremont Street, a pedestrian place with a myriad of distinctive sites.

For $20.00 i'll come pick you all up, check and see if Treasure Island has a shuttle bus. It should all the big casino's on the strip do, and it's about $10.00 a person i think. Sad thing is the airport is about a 20min walk to the casino, but with case's "YEAH"..................
