Does anyone else think the sacking and re-hiring of Louis Walsh on X-factor was a publicity stunt?

Update:

I think it was all set up. But I don't think Simon Cowell is mean...I think he's really clever to create this persona for himself (like Katie Price & Jordan). He certainly makes money from it. And he's actually a big softie - google "Simon Cowell animal charities"

Totally! I don't think they ever did sack Louis. There was more footage last night of louis coming back than there was of the auditionees. It was a publicity stunt to pull in more viewers & I expect it worked too.

I thought exactly the same. It just seemed fake & over-the-top.

Well dah!!! Look at the back of the albums of every band that Louis Walsh has managed and you will see that Simon Cowell produced them, Louis is Simon's bread and butter.

Yes, it's all about entertainment. The good guys and the bad guys. But I think Simon really is up himself in real life!!

the bit on the X factor where everyone was saying bring back Louis Walsh was fake, it was in the news! I don't think him getting sacked and rehired was though!

Having read SPARKLES comments I've changed my mind! it was a set up!

I think all these shows are a con. People who are voting are also being conned out of their money. You can usually predict what they are going to do before they do it.

I don't watch them any more. I certainly don't waste my cash voting as it is a waste of time. They have already decided who is going to win.

They are so blattantly obvious it makes me sick

    Definetly

My other half said it was a set up - but we have to admit, we don't care as long as the old team of judges are there.

Their banter helps make the show.

Yes I do and Louis isn't above putting false things in the papers for publicity for his own groups and you could tell it was.

everything they do on X factor is a publicity stunt! Leona from last year was good, she did deserve to win, but you can tell straight out every year who is gonna win! its one big fix. although i do love watching the auditions - hysterical lol
