T = -36 / 6

2. 6x + 17 = 9x + 2

6x - 9x = 2 - 17 >>Combine like terms and unknown x must bring to the left.

-3x = -15

x = -15 / -3

x = 5

3. (3y - 5) + (5y + 20) = 135

3y - 5 + 5y + 20 = 135 >>Expand the bracket

well for number 2)

my working out goes a little like this:

6x + 17 = 9x + 2

......-2...........-2

6x + 15 = 9x

-6x........-6x

15 = 3x

3x / 3 = 5 / 3

x = 5

if its too hard to understand

go ask your math teacher !

Having others help you with your homework, is not really helping you if you don't do it yourself, you won't understand as much.

And as for the problems, I can't even begin to understand what the hell that means.
