What is the diffence?

If you get a ticket for driving with a suspended license... or a ticket for driving with a suspended license under implied consent?

Update:

Oops sorry , difference...

Update 2:

This persons license has been suspended for a felony DUI 6 years ago. I was just wondering what the difference was. They made him do a breath test (He hadn't been drinking at all).

Update 3:

He didn't get arrested.

Driving while suspended for implied consent means your license was suspended for a DWI. Other suspensions (the garden variety) result from failing to go to court, failing to pay fines, etc. Either way your license is revoked and you can be arrested or cited for it.

In North Carolina if you are arrested for DWI and your license is suspended under implied consent at the time of the current DWI arrest your vehicle is seized. The seized vehicle is sold by the court and the funds go to the school system. It doesn't matter if it's your car, your wife's car, your best friend's car, etc.

Implied consent means if you are arrested for a dui you will give the police a sample of your blood/breath/urine to determine the concentration of alcohol.

I think you left out some info. Driving under suspension is usually the same fines whether it's for dui, child support, points, etc
