Familiar with 2000 GMC Sonoma....?

My battery is not charging. I do seem to have a wiring issue that shorts out my back-up lights and the engine surges when going in reverse. Just wonder if anyone has experience with this.

Your back up lights and your surging could be related,I'm not a great electrician however you might try taking out the fuse for the backup lights and see if the surge goes away, your battery is another problem I think, maybe you could take it to a parts store to have it an analyzed for the battery problem.Good luck to you.

If the rear gentle is blinking quicker than popular, verify the front gentle or the flasher unit. As for the opposite gentle, if not a bulb situation or fuse, use a try gentle and see if there is potential to the cord. save checking alongside the cord till you detect potential. it is the place your problem would be.
