Any hills in Detroit?

I'm writing a short story that occurs in Detroit; I'm looking for the name of a street in the city limits that runs down a hill into a street light, preferably close to the heart of the city. I cannot change the locale of the story.

Detroit is pretty flat, in the outskirts of the city on the Grosse Pointe border there is a street called Ashlin very local famous bump. Its not a full hill and it does run from the water on one side to Jefferson on the other. Good Luck.

Don't write any hills into Detroit. You are better off saying that the character was on land so flat that he could see the next 5 consecutive lights.

Yea, Detroit is pretty flat. I'd say in the bottom 1/3 of the lower penninsula, the more south you go the flatter it is. If you're looking for hills or mountains they're hmmm... I guess north of mid-lower penninsula. That's when you start noticing them more.

Good luck with your story :)

to get hills, you need to travel north or west. from Detroit to the state line south its pretty much flat lands.
