2007 but I suspect 2008 is better. The elections in 2008 will determine if we take a step back into a socialist mindset or a step forward under a moderate Congress and WH.

1945! The end of hostilities in Europe and the South Pacific with the surrender of Germany and Japan.

Then more recently, 1997, when the war in Kosovo was successfully ended without one American military casualty and with the combined effort of the United Nations soldiers in the Baltic region.

Which happened to occur during the President Clinton Administration of course.

1999, under President Clinton. The economy was booming, unemployment was low, we had a budget surplus as opposed to a record deficit now. The world did not hate us as they do now under Bush. The good name of America and of Democracy had not yet been destroyed by the same man.
