How fast does well hit baseball in the Major league travel.?
What speed does the ball reach at it's peak? Is there a calulation for a bat speed of 100 MPH hitting a 100 MPH fastball I know in golf a 135 mile per how swing can create an initial lauch speed approximating 200 MPH. What speed would a 100 MPH swing lauch a baseball?.

It is upwards of 130mph from what I have seen but it could be more! A golf ball is a lot harder and the club doesn't give as much as a piece of wood.

A good power hitter can give the ball an initial speed of about 110 mph
According to the Hyperphysics website, the terminal velocity of a baseball is about 73 mph. According to baseball bat manufacturers the maximum speed off of a high tech bat is up to 115 mph! This means that the energu of a basebal leaving a bat can contain up to 2.5x as much energy as a freefalling baseball!

This is just a rough estimate, but I have seen people estimate how hard someone can throw by how far they can throw. Assuming no wind, etc..... If you can throw a ball 300 ft. you can throw the ball around 85 MPH. 200 ft. equates to roughly 60 MPH.
It wouldn't be an exact linear function, but a HR hit 400 ft would have to be going faster than 110 MPH (maybe 115 MPH) if there was no wind. A ball hit into the wind would have to be hit harder than that (~125+ MPH).

Ive tried to look this up for my own thoughts, but its worse than nuclear physics when you start to break down the material, shapes, were it was hit, altitude.
I thought it would be an easy question but holy mackerel I was wrong.
