Muscle Recovery?

What is the average muscle recovery time after workouts? I've noticed when I work out, I am so exhausted afterwards and my muscles seem to ache extremely bad for atleast a day. Is this normal? What can I do to reduce the aching after workouts? What can I do that will increase my stamina and recovery time?

    It's better to take a day off between workouts, if you use all your muscle groups in one workout. However, some people will use only their lower part one day, and then the next day, use their upper part. So it depends how you want to structure your workout. The aching after workout is natural, as long as you're not pushing yourself TOO hard. Increase your load in increments so that you don't injure your muscles. (Don't increase the loads too quickly).     This is normal .... but if you can do some stretching exercises after the workout and make your body gradually relaxed afterward will make ache feeling decrease. And also remember to take a very light hot bath after your body is fully relaxed (takes at least 20 minutes after workout).
