97 Grand Am Brakes.....Why am I having grinding every 3,000 miles?
I replaced both sides brake pads about 6,500 miles ago then 3,000 miles ago I had to replace one side's again and a new disk/rotor, but didn't not replace the caliper. Now the same side is grinding AGAIN, does this mean I need a new caliper or is something else going on? Also the person that changed it said he could not bleed that side is this the problem?
yes they were greases, and also yes there was so much rust the 1st time and the second time the guy tried so hard to twist the bolt that I thnk he said it broke off partially. So new caliper huh?

Maybe your caliper is so rusty that the pads stop sliding back when they get used certain amount.
Maybe the shims are bent or not all way in.
Did you grease the "pads rails" (where the pads sit and slide back and forth)? And how about the caliper bolts? It sounds like there is a lot of rust, that why you couldn't bleed that side.
Good luck!

its a grand am, they are notorious for that. The only way to make it stop is to buy a new car.
