Is a Pit Pass worth the extra bucks?

Will I get to actually meet a lot of drivers and crew members?

Update:

I think the cost is 150 per person

yes, believe me it is worth it. Make sure you bring stuff to get signed. I have been to races before, but last year I went to a Richmond race with pit pass tickets and I got to meet Dale Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Kasey Kane, Casey Mears, Denny Hamlin, and Martin Truex Jr., plus some of the crew members. I got all there autographs on hats and Die-cast cars, that now are worth thousands, but are priceless to me. Well worth the money.

You may not meet any drivers with pit passes. It depends on the track and what their stipulations are for when you have to leave pit road. It is worth the extra money if you have never been in the pits. It is definitely a great way to see things from the other side. Try it at least once and if it wasn't worth the money, don't do it again. But don't buy the pit passes just because you might see a driver.

If you wanna see the drivers, then absolutely!! Prices do vary and i know at Darlington it's 150 bucks but you get access to the tents as well. You take a chance as far as autographs are concerned. I've done the pit pass thing about 15-20 times and i've been unlucky getting a single autograph about 5 times. It's a gamble but i will continue to pay the 150 bucks every year!!

YES, I go to the Vegas race every year and get the pit passes. They raised the prices and put in a NEON GARAGE, you can walk over the garage or look through windows on the side while your favorite crew works on the car. I was also able to go down on pit row and talk to a lot of driver like tony Stewart; last year I got 10-12 autographs and talked to more than 20 drivers fave to face. I even got into the garages because of a wrong turn I made....oops

As for me its worth it even though my wife is going she decided she didn't want another pit pass this next year. So you have to try it and determine for yourself if you think it is worth the extra money.

I know at TMS you have to be a season ticket holder to get the infield and pit passes. Unless your in a certain group, like the manufacturers and others. I'd pay 150 dollars to get to the pits, for sure!!

To answer your question, you could possibly meet a few drivers and members depending on which track and how close they let the fans get.

I believe that the pit pass price's vary around from track to track.

And as for meting driver's and crew's it's just a chance you have to take .

Not to diss what Nomeni said ,but rather than taking a bunch of stuff to be signed how about getting a Nascar Year In Review book to be signed .That way you don't have a bunch of stuff to carry around and you don't have to worry about it being stolen.

The price in Michigan is only $58. We had the passes last weekend, but as everyone knows, it was rained out!!! This is the first time we bought them as our son wasn't old enough to go. Others in our group have always gotten them and never met drivers. It must be worth it, because they always get them.

I know you're not supposed to answer a question with a question, but how much extra money are we talking about ? I've never purchased a pit pass before.

Source(s): Even for $150 more to get autographs not only from drivers but car owners too is way-y-y worth it. Awesome!!!
