why does regular soap cause dishwashers to flood?

    flood? not as in with water... but over suds.. is more like it...the suds will go everywhere-- none stop... you will have a sea of bubbles! Even with all the suds... your dishes will not be clean and you will still have to wash them again with the dishwasher detergent so don't even waste your time using dish detergent made for the sink.

    DISHWASHER SOAP IS LOW SUDSING while regular dishsoap is high sudsing.

    The foam is to light and the seals on diswashers are not that great it goes right through them.
