Out of three pregnancies, my water has never broke. With my first pregnancy I went into labor at 38 weeks and they had to break my water. The second time I was pregnant with twins, I lost my mucus plug at 33 weeks, and had my babies about 10 hours later. But they still had to break my water. The third time I was set up for a c-section so my doctor ended up breaking my water once he got into the surgery. Basically, no one can tell you when your water is going to break because its all up to your body.

Nobody knows that answer, not even the Dr. It's likely to be soon though. I was 4cm with my daughter no mucous plug and 100% effaced for 3 weeks before my water broke with her at 37 weeks. Then at 36 weeks I wasn't dilated at all, not thinned at all, sealed up, baby high, etc on a Friday then went into hard labor out of the blue that Sunday night and was complete in under 90 minutes. Every pregnancy is different =}

Well to me it doesn't sound like much longer if you are already 90% effaced and 3 cm.. You only have 10% more effaced and when you hit a 10 cm you can start pushing... My bag of water never broke the Dr. had to break it, but you are way further along then me progress wise... I knew when I was in labor because what happens to your body.. You start emptying yourself in other words you have to use the bathroom for #2 quite often.. That's your body preparing you for birth... Hang in there it will be over soon and then the work begins but so worth it in the end....

Your water NOT breaking is a good thing! Once it breaks, there will be risk for infection and also indicates your going into serious labor soon! My doctor broke my water with my first child. Only time can tell hun. Good luck!

it could be anyday now good luck with it and congratulations and usually your waters break when you are about to have the baby although others do a couple of days before but that is dangerous due to infection

Awesome news!! It should be any time now. Try going for a walk or using a treadmill. It might help speed things along. Good luck.
