What do the Morticians do with the drained blood?
I asked yesterday the questions "What does the Mortician do to your body?" and I received a very informative answer.
"We embalm the body, usually with formaldehyde. This involves making small incision above the collar bone, finding the artery and vein, and then injecting the embalming fluid into the artery. The blood is drained out of the vein. The process takes about an hour and a half. It keeps the body preserved for an indefinite amount of time, sometimes months, sometimes decades, depending on a wealth of other factors, such as climate, type of casket and vault, etc.
