What are your thoughts about the following hypothetical Presidential Election?

If you and a gazillion other Americans all wrote in their own vote and soundly rejected both the Democratic and Republican Party's candidates, making the majority vote the write-in, could those people become the new President and Vice President of the United States? (The write in could be anybody, but just for the sake of this question, let's say it was Donald Trump written in for President and Rosie O'Donnel for Vice President) <OMG> I think I am going to move out of country!, ...or....stay....it could be verrrryyyy interesting!!!!!

Update:

Okay, this was not anything pre-planned. It was spontaneous of the Americans,at the polls on election day (yes, the United States finally UNITED on something!) and Donald and Rosie knew nothing of it--in fact, they were the only two Americans to NOT vote Donald and Rosie!

If it were a true write-in only election, I'd be scared someone brilliant (sarcasm) like Paris Hilton (or one of her bimbo friends) would be the next prez!

Write-in candidates can win elections in any state. If the same write-in candidate won in enough states, they would win the only nationally elected posts in our Federal government. Contrary to popular belief, some states have specific laws that apply to write-in candidates. Ohio requires write-in candidates to register with the Board of Elections prior to the election in order for votes for them to count. They do not need the signatures required for their name to appear on the ballot, but they must register their intent to run.

If they garner the most Electoral Votes... then, yes, they would be elected President and Vice President

Unity08 is trying to do just that, offer someone not as a Dem or a Rep. I am interested, and a little apprehensive about it.
