Just bought a Toshiba laptop...?
I just bought a new Toshiba laptop and I didn't get the wireless card (God knows why). I have a D-link router at my home (installed and all) what else do I need to get wireless internet on my laptop?
Yes I have had it checked out by a friend of mine and anyway I bought it factory direct so I know it didn't come with one.

If it does you need to return the laptop and get a replacement. If it doesn't you need to get a wireless adapter for your laptop to get internet. The wireless card usually came in 2 format. The usually cardbus and pci express format. Get the Pci express format since it's the better one.
- 5 years agoFor the price, they are quite good. Toshiba should last you a while without any major problems. Also, they have some extra features that other brands don't offer on their laptops. These features take some getting used to, but when you do get used to them, they are handy. Dell service is the worst in the industry, from my experience. After your Dell warranty expires, you are dead to them.
- ?Lv 61 decade agoif you definitely don't have one installed call Toshiba and inform them and have them fix it but first make sure that it's turned on first some laptops you have to turn the wireless on
- 1 decade agoare you sure you didnt get the wireless card? you arent going to see it...its built in. try using your manual or use the following to find out if you actually have one installed: in windows : start>control panel>system>hardware(tab)>device manager>network adapters. look to see if it lists a wireless adapter...if it says there are problems, try reinstalling the drivers for it.
