I have a TI-83 (not TI-83+), can I buy a usb cable and connect it and use some kind of software to save screen shots on my computer? and what kind of of cable would that be?

Yeah, you can use the same one as for the TI-83+. Both have the same 2.5 mm port (not USB, but the cable goes from 2.5mm to USB so it can connect to your computer). It's called the TI Connectivity Kit and can be found at any self-respecting office supplies store for around $15 -- sometimes even free after rebate. Or you can be cheap like me and look on eBay. lol.

Hi,
Sorry, I don't believe that the TI-83 has a USB port. You can use the unit-to-unit cable to transfer programs between calculators and you can use the Graph-Link cable and software to transfer infromation and programs from a computer to your calculator and vice-versa. Many people confuse the TI-83 with the TI-83 Plus.
Here's a link to a TI-83 user manual that should give you the information that you need.

Hope this helps.
