All joking and jesting aside - did ANYONE get a "birthday gift" from "Yahoo Answers"?

We were all assured by Yahoo that it was a genuine offer and not just an attempt to get our personal details - but I don't know of anyone who actually received anything from Yahoo...

... unless you know differently...

Update:

The birthday I'm referring to is Yahoo Answers birthday - emails were sent out asking for addresses and such; some were deleted and some were answered (I answered) - then the Answers team posted that it was indeed a genuine email from Yahoo Answers as they wanted to reward people for making the Answers site such a success... I was on level 5 at the time and I didn't get anything. I just wondered if ANYBODY had actually received a "Yahoo Answers Birthday" gift!

Something went awry down in the Yahoo office where snailmail is made up and all the birthday presents were sent to me at my address. Now I'm in dispute with the Post Office who complain about having to climb 21 stairs to reach my front door to deliver all these large boxes of goodies. What do I do with them please.....? (HELP... help...hel.....)

I live in a tiny bedsit and with a full wall sized TV screen on every wall in the place it knackers up my sleeping, and when do I find the time to look at TV? I'm being kept busy opening boxes.

You look a nice girl Franja, hows about you come over here and help me sort through them all, you could have your pick and I make good coffee?

No,so far.The website is technically clever and ok in most respects. Maybe only the management and 'service' is questionable. They don't seem to be adequately staffed in terms of quantity and quality. Surely they could think of some gifts for people who have sacrificed so much of their time, effort and expertise to reach Level 7 and surely this gesture will motivate other users, as well. Do they have an adequate marketing department, i wonder?

If I were sent a Yahoo t-shirt it'd go straight in the bin. I don't want My friends and neighbours, or even strangers in the street, thinking I'm some sort of reclusive computer geek.

No l sent myself one from myself as there was a postal strike. Anyway with all the people on questions and answers how could they remember. I once had a box of chocolates from Sainsburys maybe picked at random but they were much appreciated.

  • 1 decade ago

    Nope. I'm still waiting...

I'm not even sure what it will actually be. I'm sitting camped out by my letterbox each morning for the postie, but so far, diddly squat.
