Does anyone know where I can buy seeds that are safe for nut allergy sufferers to eat?
I have a nut allergy and can't find any seeds (sunflower, pumpkin etc) without allergy warnings on them anywhere. Everything i find 'may contain nuts' or are 'made in a factory handling nuts'.
Can anyone help? Thanks! :)

Well, I think you are going to find that nearly impossible to do. Since our culture has become so suit happy, companies have gone to great lengths to cover themselves against such liability. And truthfully, seeds are seasonal, and you can't have a factory dedicated to just one kind of seed or nut. Pumpkin seeds should be easy enough to do yourself at home. It doesn't have to be restricted to just pumpkins either- any of the winter squash family will work. And coming up season for them as well, so you could always ask friends and relatives to save any they get for you. Then you can prep them yourself, and be sure there's no contamination problem. Sunflowers, well aside from growing your own, I have no idea. The only solution I can think of there would be to try the large sacks sold for bird feed. They wouldn't have been treated at all, and should not have been anywhere near nuts. Roasting and salting would be all your labor. It sounds odd, but if it isn't going to hurt the bird, it surely can't hurt you.

You'd pretty much have to grow your own, or check with farmers in your area who grow sunflowers.
And it's really easy to roast pumpkin seeds yourself from a pumpkin, and they taste better than bought ones.
Oh, my fave brand is Spitz, and in a long article that is on their website, it says the sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds are processed in a nut-free facility. It's about halfway through the article - there's a lot there to read. They are Canadian, but available in the States - there's a u.s. link as well.

I used to apply my nasal spray daily like 5 situations an afternoon and could not breathe at night, the two. i grew to become into constantly taking allergic reaction pills for seasonal hypersensitive reactions the place i'd sneeze continuously. not something grew to become into working in any respect. Then at some point i desperate to cut back out sugar from my usual use and started taking a sugar supplement that still had Stevia in it blended. i don't understand if it grew to become into the Stevia, or the sugar cut back, or what, yet in approximately 2 months, I had stopped making use of the nasal spray thoroughly and my hypersensitive reactions have been thoroughly long gone. I even puzzled what i grew to become into going to do with all those pills. I went returned to the sugar and did not use to any extent further sugar substitute via a epidermis allergic reaction brought about by the sugar substitute that's derived from corn. I went for a competent quantity of time , like a 300 and sixty 5 days, perhaps, previously i began out to sneeze returned these days. So i haven't dropped the sugar thoroughly yet am giving the Stevia a attempt returned. wish this helps me and anyone else who would be desperate sufficient to objective it. permit me understand what works, in case you could.
