I haven't been in a relationship for 5 years and I'm starting to get used to it. What can I do to get back

...in the relationship game? Sometimes when I feel lonely I ask my friends to suggest dates but when I start dating again and my dates start showing interest, it scares me off. What's wrong with me?

Since you haven't had a relationship in five years, its probably like you're starting all over again. It's like the first time you ever dated and you were nervous. Just give the people who are interested a bit more time and try to get to know them.

The best way to start any relationship is to begin as friends. Find something you're interested in, join the blog or chatting area. You'll ease into the social aspects and work out some kinks. As you grow stronger in yourself and your abilities to talk and relate more to people - you won't be as easily scared off because you'll know the person (s) more and will be invested.

You can get back up on the horse again, I promise.

You have to put yourself out there, make friends, get invited, invite, be social, and sooner or later someone will come around.
