Technically, he didn't beat anyone. He was declared champion by the WBC in 1993 when Riddick Bowe refused to fight him. He had become the #1 contender in the WBC by beating Razor Ruddock.

He didn't beat anyone. He became the WBC Heavyweight champion after Riddick Bowe, rather than face Lennox, bottled out of a contest with him and vacated his belt.

Well, his first "Title" fight was against Jean Chanet(24-10) for the EBU Heavyweight Title his first World title fight (Not the handing of the WBC belt, or the reighn which followed) was against Tommy Morrison for the IBC Heavyweight Title. And his first Major Title win was against Oliver McCall(2nd fight) for the vacant WBC belt
