Who is the greatest coach in the NFL to never win Coach of the Year?

I think it is absurd that Chuck Noll, the only coach with 4 rings, was never voted Coach of the Year. Yes, Vince had 5, probably Papa Bear had more, but they were given coach of the year and/or it was not even given yet. Your opinion?

Agree with you on Chuck Noll. Incredible numbers: 4 Super Bowl rings, 209 victories, 5th winningest coach of all time, HOF'er. He always seemed like a guy who got overlooked because his teams were usually stacked with superstars like Bradshaw, Lambert, Swann and Greene, etc. Noll just went about his job and did it incredibly well, never seeking attention or recognition.

Rod Marinelli. But that will all change soon

Honestly though the coach of the year usually goes to the coach of a mediocre team that exceeds expectations rather than the coach of the best team.

Well I know this, I don't know if Vince Lombardi won any Coach of the Year awards but he is most definately the greatest coach ever in the NFL.

Marty Morningweg never got voted Coach of the Year right? Taking the wind was the greatest coaching decision possibly ever.
