Superbowl predictions anybody?
Now, that the preseason is just about to end and we have all had a chance to see what this year promises to be in the NFL, who do you think will play and ultimately win the superbowl?

Well...we have a glimpse but until the regular season starts we really don't know. Based on talent and the best overall looking group right now, I hate to say it but the New England Patriots look the best. The offense has been overhauled that now it even looks like it can compete with Indianapolis. The defense does have a lot of old players, but with age comes a lot of experience, and as long as their not worn down every single game, they can make a lot of plays for that team.
Another team from the AFC looks to be the Ravens. The defense is alwas strong and a candidate for the number 1 defense in the league. Steve McNair finally has a full season under his belt in the offense and should be comfortble in it. Willis McGahee gives them a dual threat at RB who can pound it inside and take it the distance on the outside. Brian Billick will be the play caller again and he can always spark an offense.
In the NFC.....it's up for grabs. There's not truly complete team nor does one team have an overpowering aspect of it to carry them. Chicago has a good defense but lost some key players on offense, mainly Thomas Jones and after seeing Cedric Benson struggle this preseason, Lovie Smith must be kicking himself now. New Orleans has a great offense but the defense is very suspect. Some young teams like SF, St. Louis, Green Bay etc.. could all make pushes if the young guys develop. So really it's like Musical Chairs, take your pick.
As for the overally Superbowl, I gotta go with the Patriots over the Saints. New England knew that going into this offseason that they almost made the superbowl but they were missing some key ingrdients on offense and defense to get to that next level. So they broke away fromn their passive approach in the offseason, completely upgraded their offense and added arguably the best defender in the league in Adalius Thomas, and now look primed to add another Lombardi Throphy to their already crowded trophy case.

You get a star. Anyone who's question isn't about Mike Vick gets a star from me right now. I think the top two teams in the league are New England And San Diego. No indy? that's right. They were already bad against the run and now don't have Mcfarland or Simon in the middle. New England did the most in the offseason, and were already 4 pts from the big game. San Diego is the most talented team in the NFL and Rivers has a year of experience. I don't consider the NFC a threat so I won't even address them. The AFC championship will determine the whole thing. In the end I have a hard time picking against Brady. He's never had great receivers before and managed to win 3 with what he had. Now he has great receivers, I can't see anyone containing them.
