if i had a car at point A heading towards point B at 60 mph?
and a car at point C heading for point D going 50 mph.On the car at point a is a fly.this fly is giong to fly between point a and point c. the question is ,how many times will the fly fly between the two cars.

Since the hint is that the cars will crash it leaves open as to where points A B C and D are with respect to one another. Are we to assume that point A = point D and point C = Point B. If so then you have two cars heading toward one another however we do not know the distance from point A to point B nor do we know how fast the fly is moving, so there is not enough information to solve this.
Although one could say that a fly can not move faster then 50 miles an hour so the fly would be stuck to the windshield of the car at point A. So the answer would be 0 times.

You have given insufficient info. If the fly flies between point A (the starting point of the 60mph car) and the point C (the starting point of the 50 mph car, then the fly is not flying between the two cars. It is flying between their starting pointst.
Furthermore, there is no reason to believe the cars will ctash because you do not indicate where the points B and D are. Also you do not state the speed of the fly.
I think you are stating a very, very, old problem incorrectly. Please go back to the drawing board.

where are the points A, B, C & D located? §
is the fly going to crash? lol
inferring on the rate of flying of the fly... it is highly probable that the fly will be going only once, as the combined speed of the two objects is 110 mph.
