They are most likely bug bites--either fleas or even mosquitos---if he hasn't been vetted yet-get him there pronto so he doesn't contract Lyme disease or heartworm.

Could be flea bites, ant bites, spider bites, mange, allergic reaction.... You need a Vet to determine the problem and the best treatment. If the Vet says the dog is healthy, and says its probably allergies but is not specific, it could be the diet your dog is on. Fleas can do that, even if the pup just has a few but the Vet will help you determine the best product for your pup's age and type.

If your pup is outdoors, look around for ant beds. Could be he got bit by fire ants or other type of ant.

I had this issue too. Visit the vet to be sure. It could be bugs, a rash, a bacterial infection, or just areas where your pup may have laid on something like poisen ivy. It's better safe than sorry. My dogs spots just ended up being scrapes from underbrush from when we go hiking but it could easily have been a fungus. Good luck though and if your pup is itching or licking at it a lot try to discourage it.

probably a reaction to something maybe an ant bite or fleas or mozzies

if it doesn't go away in a day or so then seek a vets advice
