i just had my ferret speyed 4 days ago. now she just isn't herself, she is eating , drinking, but she isn't getting up to her usual mischief and is quiet happy to ly on the couch with me for long amounts of time. anyone with a ferret will no that ferrets don't sit still for long,i know i shouldn't complain her good behaviour is what i've always wished for but i just would like to know is this normal behavior after having this kind of surgery

has anyone got any ideas on how to make a ferret behaive its self, just a little, my 1 yr old female ferret poppet, is scratching at the carpet infront of the bedrooms doors, and she is ruining the carpet,i put mats down but she just moves them out of the way and continues to scratch up the carpet i tell her no and put her in time out (back in her cage for 15 mins), but she just keeps going back and doing it over and over again. i can't let her go in to the rooms because i can't keep an eye on her . other than that she is very friendly, loves attention will follow me around will climb up me and sit on my shoulder and give me kiss's, if only i could stop her from ruinig my carpet she would be perfect, please help i hate having to keep locking her away when she does this
