Does eating peanut butter really take the smell of alcohol off your breath?

just wondering. My friend and I are having a little argument. I just don't see how this can be true.

    not really, just the smell of garlic.

    edit: I drink a lot, and I'll tell ya NOTHING gets rid of the alcohol smell. Don't listen to anyone. Not candy, not peanut butter. Not putting pennies in ur mouth. NOTHING.
