Windows Vista....better than XP? Will software used with XP be okay with Vista?

I'm thinking primarily of Cubasis for recording music. Anyone have experience with this?

    This answer is based on:

    Steinberg Cubase System 4

USB Interface & Recording Software (Mac/PC)

Processor: Pentium or Athlon 800MHz (1.4GHz or faster recommended).

    RAM: 384MB (512MB recommended).

Operating system: Windows 2000, Windows XP Home or XP Professional.

    Mac

Processor: Power Mac G4 867MHz (Power Mac G4 dual 1.25GHz or faster recommended).

    RAM: 384MB (512MB recommended).

Operating system: Mac OS 10.2.5 or higher.

As you can see it is not compatible with Vista.

For this and other such highend software, I strongly recommend that you dont consider upgrading to Vista for the forseeable future.

I use and appreciate Vista, however I do not participate in anything as speialised as you do.

    Hope this has been helpful.
