Why are my DVD's not burning clearly?
I have AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 that I am using to burn my DVD's. About half of them burn just fine...but the other ones either get pixilated throughout or they burn fine for a few chapters then "stick" and won't play several. I've tried burning at different speeds but it hasn't entirely alleviayed the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi Jen,
I had similar issues and here is what I found -
If you are using Memorex DVDs stop. They are lousy. Avoid the Office Depot branded DVDs too. The very best in our testing were Verbatim with Sony a close second.
Slow down your burn speed. The faster you burn the greater the chance of errors. Going from 16X to 8X while a pain because of the extra time required greatly reduced the issues we had with burns.
Burners do wear out and the laser gets weak. If you can afford a new burner get an AOpen. They are only about $35 and with them we can burn at 18X without problems.
I hope that helps you resolve your issues.
