Why is it that Yankee fans can count to 26 for their wins, but can't count above 1 for any other team?

There are other Teams that have managed to win, and more than, 1 championship.

Can they count their own teams losses?

Update:

PS, The Yankees are STILL 6 games out!

yeah thats pretty much the definiton of the yankees.they use their "so called"26 championships to back-up everything about them and to show off.so they are a bunsch of spoiled brats who buy championships.i believe if they were the team down 0-3 in the 04 alcs they would have given up and just lost because their damn fans would have turned their backs on them and they would probably be talking about firing the manager.i mean how ridiculous!

You have to admit, after winning 26 World Series between the last two Redsox World Series makes The Sox look statistically insignificant. I'm sure if the numbers were reversed, you guys would be far more obnoxious then Yankees fans could ever be. Hell, you are now.

babyP. What's "so called" about The Yankee championships. You don't hear Yankee fan talk about the "6 so called championships of the Redsox" do you?

That's because of the success of the Yankees through out the

history of baseball. If the Bosox had won 26 titles, Boston

fans would be acting and thinking in the same manner.

Wasn't that the case when the Celtics were winning all of

those N.B.A. titles? Remember when the Montreal Canadians

were winning all those Stanley cups?

But baseball wise, we know why the Yankees win so much.

It's George Steinbrenner. But it's been that way for years.

Even before George, the Yankees did things to stay on top.

Give them credit for that. For me, my team is the Cubs.

You all know about them. When we make the playoffs, it's

a great event! I know Red Sox fans will stay loyal to the team if

they lose 95-100 games, but i know the Yankees fans will

rush over to Flushings to see the Mets if they were to lose

95-100 games in one season. Yankees fans are great

winners but are the worst of losers.

Im a Yankees fan, maybe one of the few who will give another team props for beating us in a game, series. or playoffs. I think it goes both ways when it comes to arrogance, Red Sox fans are still arrogant for the 3-0 comeback you guys did in the playoffs a few years ago and winning the World Series and Yankee fans are arrogant for the 26 World Series they have won, but lets not live in the past people, its the present. By the way, Georgie, two in a row to the Royals?! Nice job.

The argument is that since 1918 the Yankees have won 26 and the Red sux have won once. Sorry that you feel left out in the discussion. It's not like Yankee fans go around saying everyone has one ring while we have 26 and the rest don't count.

Amen my friend, Amen. There are ppl in this world that do give props to the Yankees for how they play the game, but when it comes to another team winning the division, alcs, or world series, the Yankee Fans pretty much ignore the fact that boo-hoo another team won, instead of the precious Yankees.

it's because most Yankee fans aren't fans of baseball, and they could care less what happens with other teams. you see this a lot with football fans. they'll be able to tell you anything and everything you need to know about... say the Chiefs (for example), but they can't name more than 2 players on any other given team.

what you find with yankee fans is that most of them know nothing about baseball, and as such, they become a yankee fan by default. they do that because its easiest to casually root for a team that is always successful. then they start learning more and more about the yankees but know nothing about any other team in the league.

hey uhh buddy. im a yankee fan and i just want you to know i can count higher than one for a lot of teams. like the mets its not that hard to count one above one. and cant forget them red sox it would take a super duper big retard to not be able to count such a low number like 6.

i realize that there are other teams that have managed to win. im not exsactly blind but you must be to not have seen the red sox game last night and tonight

and i can count my teams losses its 59 if thats what you wanted to hear.

    good day!

I'd call it team pride, but you do have a point. I'll take the older Yankee teams from the past any day and I'm a White Sox fan.

You tell them dude. Yankee fans would never exist if they have not won that many WS. I believe Red Sox fans are way more supportive. We never gave up on the Red Sox in the 2004 ALCS and we never will give up in a whatever-game series against the stupid Yankees.
