To muslims/christians and jews...?

After all the evidence from the Qur'an, Torah and parts of the Old Testement, do you belive Muslims, Jews and Christians believe in the same God ?

At the end of the day, muslims believe a lot of things that Christians believe e.g. virgin Mary, Jesus, Moses, Adam and Eve, Angel Gabrielle etc. Jesus can not be the son of God, if Mary gave birth to him, unless Mary is the wife of God..which is impossible.

Did anyone watch the Muslim Jesus ? if not, watch it on You Tube, it explains a lot, very descriptively, and makes the similarities and differences between islam and christianity easily understandable and clear.

As a British muslim, i accept that Jews, Christians and Muslims believe in one God..and that we should love eachother.

What do you think ? All comments will be appreciated x

I think IF there is GOD then there can only be ONE GOD in the whole universe.

    People created religion and believes.

Quran,Bible, Gita and other books all teach us the same thing.

Like Love thy neigbour, be good to others, see no evil,do no evil and speak no evil and so on.

So lets forget the religion and live in peace.

Despite being an atheist I do believe that Christians, Muslims and Jews all believe in the same God. I come from a religious family and studied religion quite a lot at school (this is how I ended up an atheist!). I just find so many contradictions in the practice of the different faiths. For instance: in the Koran nowhere does it state that women have to cover themselves from head to foot when appearing in public. Mohammed advised his followers to respect women not to subjugate them. The fundamentalists have taken Mohammed's writings and totally twisted them to suit their own ends. The same can be said for the Christian church. Christ turned the money lenders out of the temple but the Church of England are now the biggest land owners in the country.

Yes we do believe in the same God. but that's about the only thing that's the same. We worship Him differently. Our beliefs of what kind of God He is are different. Our beliefs of which people He will save are different. Our Doctrines are different. And one religion thinks that the other is bad though it is not.

I believe that we should be united but these small differences that separate us are too powerful. One religion thinks s/he is the right one and thats the barrier between us. I hope one day we destroy that barrier.

I believe that neither of our religions are evil. I believe that the Al-Qaeda is not using their religion properly. they say that they do it for Allah but they go against Islamic teachings. they are hiding behind the religious aspects and that causes others to generalize that Muslims are bad people. The same is true for catholics. Because some priests and catholics do bad things other religions generalize that catholics are bad people as well. its actually the media's fault because they show only the bad people who follow that religion who are a minority compared to the good people. And they do it because it makes good ratings.

We should know one another before we judge

I'm Catholic by the way ;p

Of course I believe we should all love each other and have mutual respect for one another, that being said I have to disagree that Jesus cannot be the son of God...God impregnated Mary with the Holy Spirit, Jesus's father was not Joseph, Mary's husband. His Father was indeed God. That is just what I personally believe.

I'd love to pretend I can agree they all believe in the same God, but the level of contradiction, violence, and insistance by one group as having a claim to an exclusive truth at the expense of the others makes the idea that they all believe in the same god highly questionable.

I LOVE YOU FOR THIS!! The three religions are different in praise, but in my eyes God is ever loving. We worship the same God. Plain and simple.

NO they don't believe in the same God,its all about the same sorta thing but Muslim's believe in Ala witch is not a real god i don't really know about Jew's or understand it . even catholics they pray to virgin Mary witch they shouldn't they should pray to Jesus. coz the lord says don't worship false gods, and she only gave birth to him.

JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

I think they all believe in the one God. But in reality religion is only partly to do with God, it's a lot of peoples identity.

Religion is not God, it's only one path to him.

There is only One True Church commissioned by God..... and those of The True Church(ALL those of The True Christian Faith) have God's personal assurance of their Salvation..... your "hypothetical" has no value to those who already know The Truth.
