My cat-eyed lady of the midnight sun

Love’s little sister only twenty-one

Lives in a cottage in the cotton field

She will not love me but her sister will

There’s a change in the wind

And my friends they’re all coming along

And with tears on her wings

Now my hummingbird’s gone

And Devon was her name

She wore black leather, lots of shiny things

Her long blonde hair and belly-button rings

Beyond the innocence the rainbow ends

The door she opened let the madness in
