Would you go to school year round if you had the option?
The more I think about this, the more I would have enjoyed the option. Think about, you could graduate by the time you were 16, or maybe even earlier. It's kind of stupid to spend all that money building schools and they sit empty for months at a time. Vacation time could be flexible, maybe getting a week off every month or something. All kinds of possibilities.
Yes, Rainy, people do need breaks. That's why I tossed around the idea of 1 week off every month. Maybe something else would work better. The system would have to setup for lots of flexibilty, for both students and teachers.

Nope, definitely not. Unless we had about 4 2 week breaks per year, with sprinkled in little brakes as well. You always need a break from doing stuff, and school is stressful. If I had to worry year round about tests and hw, I don't no what I would do. Even if I got to graduate 2 years earlier, that is not enough incentive. That just means I have to go to work earlier. So no thanks. the school is only empty for at most 2 months, and anyway, the school would be empty for the same amount of time. And their would be no time for the kids that need summer school to catch up on their work and their grades to do that.

I'm going to school right now and yes, i think i would go year round if i had the choice. I enjoy school and seeing my friends. The summer brings more responsibilities and things to do around the house and watching my little brother. i like the freedom school gives me. my cousin's school district does that and they hate it but id like to try it out...even just for a year.
