NYS Permit and Driving out of State?

I have a NYS learners permit and we're going to VT this weekend. Am I able to drive in VT? I tried to find in on the DMV website, but I couldn't find it.

Its not like I'm a new driver and not used to the roads. I've had my permit for over a year and 1/2 (stupid insurance costs). I just want to know, since my mom had arm surgury, and it hurts her driving for a long time, and I'm the only other driver in the house.

Most states do not recognize each other's permits, only licenses. If it doesn't say on the VT website, then I would guess they don't, but you can call them up and ask just to make sure.
