What to do about peeling linoleum?
Well, it might be vinyl flooring now, but it's so ugly, let's call it linoleum.
It's upstairs in the bathroom. It was installed circa 1995, and while I hate it and would love to rip it out, I don't currently have a replacement in mind. It's peeling at the doorway (sloping up) and it's receding around the bathtub (we tried caulk but might have gotten it wrong.)

Hi...this is not a huge problem. to fix it go to the flooring dept at Lowes, (or Home Depot) and get SHEET VINYL glue wher it is peeling or curling put the glue on the back and on the subfloor then re-lay the floor and put something heavy on it for 24 hrs...if the subfloor is wood (which it probably is) it might have water damage (it's rotted) so therefore this remedy wont work so well. Your best bet is to maybe decide on putting ceramic tile in there...(A). it will add value to your home and (B) this is something you can do yourself. Just screw down some cement backerboard over the sheet vinyl and your ready to go....this way you don't have to deal with tearing out the existing floor.. Try the sheet vinyl glue first if you don't want to go as far as puting in a new floor. Good Luck

if you want a temporary fix you can try contact cement
if its peeling along the tub there may be a reasonable fix
a new recent product called a caulking strip
a plastic strip with pre-adhered caulk on the back that you can lay on corner where the tub meets the floor (available in different widths and colors)
if its really bad then replacement can be done reasonably
I redid my bathroom floors this summer
I removed the old vinyl flooring and installed 1 ft sq self adhesive vinyl tiles for apprx. $1 per sq ft(not tiles that look like cheesy linoleum, some decent stone look tiles I bought at Lowes)

I would get some new stuff in there and make sure you ask which flooring will last for the next 10-15 years. I just got some linoleum put in my apt. and not even a year later, it has a dozen inch to 2inch slices in various places. I take great care of my things and have never once dropped anything on those areas. They just appeared. So be careful not to get really cheap stuff because you will just end up kicking yourself in the long run.

Rip it up and try to just put down bathroom rugs until you find a replacement. Even try some wood flooring for now. If you don't mold might start to grow under where it is sloping up.

You may of had excess water on the floor at one time. This will cause the flooring to peel up and curl. The best thing to do is pull it up and refloor.

Once it has started curling up, the only thing you can do is take it out. I assume it is one piece and not stick down tile.
