I wouldn't use TheraFlu for a sore throat while pregnant. There are some studies now saying TheraFlu, especially the formulas that include alcohol as an ingredient, can cause birth defects, and then there are some that don't say it does. To be safe, use Chloraseptic throat spray or suck on Lozenges/cough drops that have no alcohol in them.

or you can gargle with warm salt water.

If you start running a fever, have aches and chills, very swollen lymph glands in your neck, or the pain doesn't improve in a few days, call your doctor.

If it's after hours call the labour, and delivery at your local hospital, or the one you go to. They always have a doc on hand that can tell you what you can, and can not take. But i don't believe that thera flu is one. I was told Tylenol, Sudifed, and Robitussin.

No. I am also 25 weeks pregnant and just got over a cold that my daughter brought home. I asked my doctor what I could take and he said tylenol or sudafed. You can take cough drops for your sore throat or just drink tea with honey and lemon in it or gargle with salt water. Those things worked for me. It is better to suffer it out than to risk harming the baby by taking something that you shouldnt take.

The doctors recommand that you should take any kinda of Flu tablet but there are ones that can be taking during the pregnacy, so ask the chemist if they have a brand that you can take but always read the lables before you take anything!!!
