Is the course 'family life and child development' offered in UP Diliman a good course to take?

I think it's a nice course, but I just want to know your opinion... Actually, I'm just curious... If ever I decide to take this course, what will be my job (specifically) after I graduate...?

    If your intention is to be a preschool educator or practice in the field of early childhood education, then this is the course for you. I got my degree in FLCD and it did help me a lot even when I changed my career. FLCD will help you in becoming a parent, understanding families, and counseling. With a degree in FLCD, you can enter Law, Medicine, Human Resources.. as many of my batchmates are now practicing MDs, lawyers, HR people, Professors and Preschool Teachers/Owners. It's a fun course, with great faculty as well.

    I guess so, that is, if you really like that course. All IPD-offered courses are good to take because no matter how "obscure" your choice is, you're ahead of most of the other applicants when hunting for a job if you've finished your BA there, and even better if you're going to take your MA afterwards.

    *Globally the University of the Philippines is ranked at 299.

    * De La Salle 392nd

    * Ateneo de Manila 484th

    * University of Santo Tomas 500th

    These according to the Times Higher Education Supplement-Quacquarelli Symonds (THES-QS) World University Rankings which ranks universities across the globe in yearly surveys that began in 2004.

    (sorry for pointing out the obvious, but I just can't help it!)

    Maybe this will help if you want to know what carrer you'll be having if ever you do take this course and make it to UP.
