Is cheerleading better than dance ?

definitly dance is harder and better:]]

they take two different types of talent. cheerleaders are trained to be shrap and strong, so we can jump dance and stunt.

where as dance is fluid and VERY technical.

i like cheerleading MUCH better, but i love dancing.

they both take a LOT of talent

ok this is weird. all the people who say hands down dance, are like making fun of cheerleadin yet all the cheerleaders are saying they both take talent, and the people like me who have done both are being nice.

so who really hates who??

im sorry but dont judge us because from this point of veiw no cheerleader on here has done anything to you.

Cheerleading is far better....Especially if you are in competitive cheer, you get to compete against other teams and its alot of fun. My daughter quit dance class cuz it was boring to her! Give em both alot of thought as everyone has their own opinion. Do a search on competitive cheerleading!!

dance is better than cheerleading hands down. cheerleading is more difficult and you cant have fun with it. dance takes more talent though too.

i do dance and cheer i would have to say dance even if your not professional i have classes 4 days a week i dance for hours but it always depends how serious you are, cheer leading and dance can fit hand and hand it just depends how you look at it but there is competitive cheer and that is harder and thats harder than just regular classes but theres dance companys at studios which is pretty even with comp. cheer

Counting like this retains dance strikes with the pace and additionally will enhance the quantity of strikes you're able to do in an 8-count quantity.

I think dancing takes more talent. It would be definetly better than cheerleading. After high school, you will have no use for cheerleading, but dancing you can use throughout the rest of your life. My vote is definetly for dancing!

Hello lauren...i am chantea and honestly i have done both for multiple years but seriously it depends on you...they are both hard and both require alot of work and practice....but its to each his own...i am in show choir wich is like a mixture of the two but instead of yelling at a crowd we dance and sing to a crowd.To me i love dancing more because it shows more aspects of me and not just my school pride or how flixible...but i hope this works for u

Cheer, hands down. Dance is limited to the movement of your body in different ways, where as Cheerleading has many different aspects, including, jumps, stunts, tumbling, motions, and many cheer routines include dance. Soooo,, cheerleaders are dancers plus so much more.

Dance is harder, especially ballet. Cheerleading (When in school) is only a bunch of chants and small pyramids. And no offense, but a lot of cheerleaders are stuck up. At least at my school they are.

dance cheer leading does not take any talent other than being able to do a cartwheel
