How far will Michigan fall in the polls after their loss? And will it knock them completely out of the BCS?

The Little 10 - wow - they don't even play real football do they? I think their coach is toast - he has to be burned out and gone after this year. They will also lose to OSU and if they play Wisconsin, they will lose to them too!

Yes their coach is gone. This was his last year anyway. Michigan could get the Big 10 BCS berth, but I don't see that happening. If you think about it, the only coaching strategy that ASU used was that Michigan leaves the middle open on defense. It was that easy to pick them apart. Thats terrible coaching. In my opinion, as a Michigan fan, they should be knocked out of the top 25 and made to earn their way back in.

And I've seen a lot of "I used to like Michigan" on this board in the last two days. To those folks I say good riddance. My teams struggling and I'm still here, just as I will be when they're again a national title contender.

OK, Here is a real answer to your question. They probably will fall out of the top 10, possibly below 15.

The winner of the Big 10 gets an automatic BCS bowl game, so they can still do that.

As far as playing for the national title, it is possible, but a lot would have to happen. If their are no undefeated teams going into the bowls, and if (and that is a HUGE IF) Michigan is one of only two 1 loss teams, they could still possibly play for and win the title. However, Saturday's loss could hurt their point rankings so bad, that a few 2 loss teams could be ahead of them in the polls.

Realistically, a Wolverine Fans best hope is to win the Big 10, but anything is possible- we have all seen stranger things happen.

Well, I think after this season you will see a major push for a playoff system in college football. USC was able to leapfrog Michigan because Michigan's loss came more recently. If Michigan had lost to OSU 8 weeks ago and USC had lost 2 weeks ago it might be reversed. Usc has had a difficult schedule and are the most deserving team, besides Michigan. The controversy will come if USC gets blown out in the title game against OSU. There is still a chance that USC loses to UCLA this Saturday and then Michigan fans just have to hope that Florida doesn't surpass them. Either way it kind of looks like Rose Bowl for the Wolverines. Next season the Maize and Blue will be the favorites and OSU will have to win in the big house.

I see Michigan falling somewhere between 20 and 25 unfortunately they're not very good defensively having given up a ton of points the last couple of games last year and this game. They should drop out of the polls after Penn State.

The answer to the second question is a resounding yes this will knock them out of the BCS.

They should drop to 119. Michigan sucks. They have always been overrated, and they should have not had anything to say when Florida took the number two spot last year. They proved the SEC is the best conference, and the Big 10 is a piece of crap fourth class conference and their best bid should be the Hawaii Bowl.

    They'll drop to about 22.

And, no, it doesn't knock them out of the BCS since the Big Ten champion gets an automatic berth, and this game doesn't affect their conference record. They have no shot at the title.

I use to love Michigan but with Lloyd Carr, they should think about looking to go play in the Mid American conference. And words would not describe what bowl I would send them too.

Probably still in top 25. And yes there is no way they will be in a bcs game after the biggest upset in NCAA history!

It's better to lose early in the season. Especially a game like this one. It probably won't hurt them too bad.
